To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will increase the level of aid to India.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

India is the top recipient of our bilateral aid and will continue to be a high priority. Planned expenditure for next year is in line with average levels over recent years.
