asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will place in the Library copies of the balance sheets for the bids by the City of Manchester to host the Olympic Games which were finally awarded to Atlanta and Sydney.

The bids to host the Olympics in 1996 and 2000 were handled respectively by the Manchester Olympic Bid Trust and the Manchester Olympic Games Executive Committee Limited. The accounts for the latter are due to be published early in March. At that stage arrangements will be made to place copies of both accounts in the Library.
