§ Mr. KeyThe Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency is currently working with the British Standards Institution, the police and the number plate industry to improve the readability and durability of number plates. Manufacturers and suppliers of plates could be required to put their names and addresses on plates so that they can be traced.
