§ Mr. Andrew Smith
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the current level of funding for the immigration appeals advisory service and the refugee legal centre; and what plans he has to increase it.

§ Mr. Charles Wardle
In 1993–94 provision of £4.924 million has been made for grants made under section 23 of 155W the Immigration Act 1971, under which funding is provided for both the immigration advisory service—formerly IASS—and the refugee legal centre. The provision for 1994–95 is £5.522 million.
