To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will seek from his counterparts in France and Belgium details of deaths in 1992 and 1993 attributed to fumes from defective Australian house coal.

My Department has requested this information from the relevant authorities in France and Belgium, and I will write to the hon. Member when a response is received.
