To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what is the time scale for completing the planning process and building the A6(M) bypass for Hazel Grove to Birmingham.

§ Mr. Key
Proposed changes to the scheme will require the published draft orders to be withdrawn. We are hoping to re-publish the orders later this year with a view to holding a public inquiry early next year. The time for completion will depend upon the outcome of the inquiry.
