To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what steps is is taking to instruct the Royal Navy to protect British fishing activities; and if he will make a statement.

The Royal Navy Fishery Protection Squadron conducts fishery protection duties on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency under a contract arrangement.
