§ Mr. Peter BottomleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment which trade unions have made representations to him in the last 10 years on whether campaigning on issues including pensions, health and safety, and job conditions has to be paid for out of a political fund.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythI am unaware of any such representations. A trade union does not need a political fund unless it wishes to spend money on electoral or other party political activities.
