To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement about the attendance of the band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers at a Conservative party function at Ayton, Berwickshire in January; and what was the cost to public funds of the band performance.

Members of the Fusiliers' Band (Volunteers) carried out an engagement at Ayton castle on 28 January 1994. The additional costs were met by the organisers of the function.
