§ Mr. SoamesThere is no evidence that the bovine immunodeficiency virus will affect humans, whether through contact with animals, or through drinking milk or eating meat. Experimental studies indicate that the virus has little effect on cattle: the only symptom being a transient rise in temperature which soon passes. Against that background, we have no plans for the type of review mentioned by the hon. Member.
