To ask the President of the Board of Trade how many staff in his Department are covered by statutory sick pay.

§ Mr. Eggar
[holding answer 8 February 1994]: Approximately 12,700 staff in the Department are eligible to receive statutory sick pay. This total includes Departmental staff on loan or secondment out of the Department.
