§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement in respect of the disturbance caused by troops from the 22 Royal Engineers and the 1 Battalion Irish Guards in Salisbury.
§ Mr. HanleyOn the night of 20–21 January in Salisbury two groups of soldiers were involved in a fight near a taxi rank. The military authorities are taking appropriate disciplinary action.
No civilians were involved in the incident, no serious injuries were sustained and there was no damage to property.
