§ Mr. HowardI announced the review of the Forensic Science Service, an executive agency of the Home Office, on 19 May 1993. This review is now complete. The Government have decided that the service should remain as an executive agency for the present and move to trading fund status when appropriate. This will allow the agency to continue to build on the progress it has made so far.
