To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on progress being made in the consultations with outside interested parties on the company voluntary arrangements document issued by the Insolvency Service in October 1993.

The deadline for responses to the document has been extended to 31 March 1994. More than 40 have been received so far and many more are expected. The views expressed will be carefully considered.
