To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what proposals he has to improve the quality of the coastal marine environment.

§ Mr. Atkins
The Government's policies for protecting and enhancing the marine environment were summarised within "This Common Inheritance" in 1990 and reported upon in the 1991 and 1992 reports (Cm. 1655 and Cm. 2068 respectively). A further report is to be published shortly.
