To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if any capital expenditure was planned for the Bewsey street hostel prior to his Department's statement of 30 November 1993.

§ Mr. Maclean
A proposal for capital expenditure on the Bewsey street hostel had been received prior to the 30 November statement, but it had not and has not since been approved.
