Mr. John M. TaylorThe majority of staff employed by the Department are eligible for statutory sick pay under the relevant provisions. There are certain employees, for example those over minimum state pension age or those employed for a period of less than three months, who are not covered. It has not proved possible to obtain detailed figures in the time available. I will, however, write to the hon. Member as soon as I can with the relevant figures.
