§ Mr. HanleyDiscussions have taken place between the Western European Union Permanent Council and representatives from central and eastern Europe, including the Visegrad countries, following the agreement reached at the 22 November WEU ministerial meeting on the possibility of an enhanced relationship with WEU for these countries. Any such relationship would be complementary and compatible with the links developed through NATO's "Partnership for Peace".
