To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he expects the C-130J will enter into service with the British armed forces.

Mr. Aitken

The C-130J is one of several options being considered as part of a programme to refurbish or replace up to half the RAF fleet of Hercules aircraft. We hope to be in a position to decide on the way ahead later this year.
