To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many complaints from employees were received by the wages inspectorate in March, April and May 1993; and in how many of these cases the inspectorate's investigation was completed within four weeks.

Employees were told the results of investigations into their complaint. If the investigation could not be completed within four weeks, the employee was told about the progress of the investigation.
