§ Mr. HanleyThe Ministry of Defence provides married quarters for all ranks of the armed forces. The scale of provision of quarters for commanding officers varies according to the rank and responsibilities of the appointment. Expenditure on improvements and furnishings of these and all quarters is limited to that which is necessary to maintain the property to an appropriate standard.
