To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will place a copy of the PIEDA report on the crofter housing scheme in the Library when it is completed; and if he will state the cost of commissioning the report.

My Department has commissioned PIEDA plc to undertake an evaluation study of the crofters, etcetera, building grants and loans scheme. The report of the study will be published shortly and I shall arrange for a copy to be placed in the Library.

For reasons of commercial confidentiality, I am unable to provide details of the cost of commissioning the report.
