§ Ms PrimaroloTo ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her answer of 31 January,Official Report, columns 531–33, when she intends to publish the number of finished consultant episodes by region for private patients in national health service hospitals in 1992–93, in-patients plus day cases; and for what reasons the revenue generated is known for 1992–93 but not the activity level.
§ Mr. SackvilleInformation about revenue and activity comes from different information systems. Private patient treatment numbers are part of the hospital episode statistics which are not submitted to the Department until clinical information has been added to the patient record. We expect the information on the number of private patients treated in the national health service to be available by the end of March.
