§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the wirestrike incident involving a Royal Air Force Harrier in north Norway on 15 November 1993.
§ Mr. HanleyThe aircraft was on a routine training exercise and struck power cables while flying through a fjord at 335 ft. The aircraft suffered minor damage and was able to land at a diversion airfield. The cause of this incident is currently under investigation by an RAF board of inquiry.
