§ Mr. HanleyThe aircraft was on a routine training sortie when it crashed near the village of Aston Somerville. The pilot, a member of the United States Marine Corps on an exchange tour with the RAF, unfortunately died in the accident. An investigation into the cause of the accident is being conducted by an RAF board of inquiry.
