§ Mr. Douglas HoggMy right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary visited Lebanon, Israel, the Occupied Territories and Jordan from 3–6 January. The Prime Minister met Crown Prince Hassan of Jordan in London on 11 January. The Prime Minister, my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary and I held discussions with the Lebanese Prime Minister in London on 25 and 26 January. I am encouraged by the determination of all the parties to make progress towards a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.
