§ Dr. MawhinneyThe latest year for which figures are available is 1991–92, in that year, 56 per cent. of hospital admissions were immediate. Of those admitted from waiting lists, 52.1 per cent. were admitted within six weeks, 69.1 per cent. within three months and 7 per cent.had to wait longer than a year.
In May 1990, 57 per cent. of admissions were immediate. Of those admitted from waiting lists, 40.7 per cent. were admitted within six weeks, 67.1 per cent. within three months and 4.6 per cent. had to wait longer than a year.
