To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if she will give(a) the maximum, (b) the minimum and (c) the average amount paid out under the arable area payments scheme in England in the latest available year; and if she will make a statement.

4 EC data are not available for 1992. For the United Kingdom, 1992 production was 14,702,000 tonnes and consumption was 7,072,000 tonnes.
