Mr. Goodlad

I refer the hon. Lady to the written reply I gave the hon. Member for Clydebank and Milngavie (Mr. Worthington) on 2 December 1993, at column680.

Mr. Parry

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on Her Majesty's Government's diplomatic relations with the Nigerian Government.

Mr. Goodlad

We are urging the Nigerian Government to take all possible steps towards an early return to democratic civilian rule and to improve their performance on human rights.
