§ Dr. MawhinneyThe railway property transferred to Railtrack when it was established in April 1994 was limited to that necessary to run the network. The Railways Act 1993 contains provisions governing the closure of passenger networks and stations. The question of compensation for those affected by decisions taken by Railtrack is a matter for the parties concerned.
