§ Mr. Douglas HoggI led a delegation of over 50 British business men and officials to the economic summit for the middle east and north Africa held in Casablanca624W from 30 October to 1 November. We fully share the objective of promoting regional economic development and, in particular, encouraging private sector involvement. We and our EU partners will continue to support this initiative through our participation in the follow-up conference to be held in Amman next year, and through the regional economic development working group which the EU chairs.
