Mr. Milburn

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many operating theatre sessions have been cancelled in each region in each of the last five years.

Information on cancellations of operating theatre sessions is not centrally available. The number of admissions which were cancelled by hospitals for the year ending 31 March 1994, the first year for which accurate information is centrally available, is shown in the table.
