§ Mr. SoamesAt Derriford, where arrangements to establish a unit are most advanced, the capital expenditure committed by my Department to the project has been £5 million and estimated total annual running costs are approximately £6.5 million. The capital and annual running costs of the two new proposed Ministry of Defence district hospital units will depend upon the state of facilities and the costs at the host district general hospital selected. Decisions on the location of the two new military district hospital units, and therefore whether or not capital work will be required, have not yet been made.
