§ Dr. StrangTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what approved products are available for treating lice on goats; and what approved products are available for treating lice on goats in the event of the ineffectivity of pyrethroid products.
§ Mr. WaldegraveTwo veterinary medicines are licensed for the treatment of lice on goats—Cypor and Parosol Pour-on. Both are pyrethroid products. Any evidence of lack of efficacy of these products, or any other veterinary medicines, should be reported as suspected adverse reactions to the Veterinary Medicines Directorate. In the absence of any other products specifically licensed for the treatment of lice on goats, the advice of a veterinary surgeon should be sought on what alternative products may be appropriate for use in the particular circumstances.
