Mr. Denham

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport (1) if he will list for each county council its capital expenditure on public transport as a percentage of its capital expenditure on roads.

(2) if he will list for each county council (a) its capital expenditure on roads and (b) its capital expenditure on public transport.

The figures for 1993–94, as reported by local authorities in their transport policies and programme submissions for 1995–96, are set out in the following table.
