Whether they will pay for the costs of revoking consents of existing permissions at Winskill Stones in the Yorkshire Dales and on Orton Scar in Cumbria to remove surface limestone pavement, which has priority status under the EC Habitats Directive.
§ Viscount UllswaterShould these two areas become European sites under the EC Habitats Directive, and if it is then decided to revoke existing consents, compensation will be payable by the decision making authority under existing statutory arrangements.
