§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe Government have recently reviewed various proposals for changes to the present arrangements for tree preservation. We have concluded that the system in use now enables local planning authorities to provide sufficient protection to woodlands and that they should continue to be able to place preservation orders on woodlands. Copies of the Government's conclusions on the review are available in the Library of the House.
