§ Mr. Win GriffithsTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what information he has already received from health authorities on their plans to meet the standards required in the code of practice for the identification and assessment of children with special educational needs; and what guidance he has sent them to ensure that the additional needs of all children are met whether or not they have statements.
§ Mr. RichardsIn response to the code of practice, planning guidance was issued in DGM(94)96 which advises health authorities to agree with local authorities the provision to be made for children, including those with special educational needs.
Commissioners' health plans should be submitted to the Welsh Office by the end of March 1995 for consideration and approval by the Department.
