§ Mr. Gwilym JonesInformation is not available on the numbers of people working specifically in horticulture. However, according to the 1993 June agricultural and horticultural census there were, at 1 June, 558 people working whole-time on main holdings classified as horticultural holdings whole-time refers to those workers whose main occupation is farming and who work, on average, more than 39 hours per week. A holding is classified as horticultural if more than two thirds of its standard gross margin results from horticultural enterprises. Results at this level of detail are not yet available for the June 1994 census.
