§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe line orders and compulsory purchase order for the section of the M8 motorway between Baillieston and Newhouse were published in November 1993 and May 1994, respectively. Those proposals are being taken forward in phases and, subject to the satisfactory completion of statutory procedures and the availability of finance, it is provisionally planned that the first of these, from Drumpark junction to Chapelhall, will start between April 1995 and March 1997.
