§ Mr. AtkinsThe disposal of low-level radioactive waste to such sites is regulated by means of authorisations granted under the Radioactive Substances Act 1993. Each authorisation sets out the limits and conditions required for safe disposal at a specified site, and places a legal duty on the person authorised to ensure that disposal takes place in accordance with the limits and conditions of the authorisation.
