§ Mr. BaldryWe are content that non-governmental organisations should play an active role in the activities of the UN Year of Tolerance 1995, but it is not our policy, given heavy demands on public expenditure, to commit scarce resources to the marking of UN years dedicated to specific themes. We therefore have no plans at present to engage in specific activity to mark this UN year.
