§ Mr. SoamesThe military corrective training centre has been in operation since 1 January 1956. Since then there has been a recorded total of 215 escapes and 38 attempted escapes, most of which took place between 1956 and 1961. Since 1990, there have been a total of four recorded escapes and no attempts.
