§ Mr. FyfeTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what information he has on the numbers of reported cases of illegal selling of cigarettes to children and the number of prosecutions following such sales in the past year.
§ Mr. StewartFive reports were submitted to procurators fiscal for offences under the Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1991 concerning alleged illegal sales of cigarettes to children in the period 1 March 1992 to 31 July 1993. Four of these reports resulted in prosecutions.
