HL Deb 26 April 1994 vol 554 c38WA
Lord Molloy

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they intend to introduce regulations to prevent the chairman of the NHS Supplies Authority and the National Blood Authority holding other similar posts in the NHS.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)

No. It is important that members can be appointed to those two authorities who are able to bring close knowledge and awareness of the needs of the National Health Service, as the prime customer, to both.
