To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the numbers and percentages of students in higher education undertaking two-year diploma courses and three and four-year degree courses in each of the past 10 years.

[holding answer 25 April 1994]: The information readily available is in respect of 1992–93. The number and percentage of students in higher education in Scotland undertaking three and four-year degree courses, higher national diploma courses and other higher education is given in the table.
