HC Deb 25 April 1994 vol 242 c57W
Mr. Morgan

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what consultations he has had with the chairman of Welsh Water plc and the Director General of Water Services in relation to the sum allocated for sewerage infrastructure renewal and not spent for the purpose allocated in the period 1989 to 1993; and what proposals he has to amend the financial arrangements with the regulated water company and the regulator in relation to each undertaking.

Mr. Redwood

I have not discussed this matter with the chairman of Welsh Water plc or the Director General of Water Services. By 1995, Dwr Cymru will have spent nearly £1.1 billion on capital investment, well in excess of the amount allowed for in price limits set at privatisation.
