To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the waiting list on Merseyside for treatment of arthritis; and if she will make a statement.

Information on waiting times for in-patient and day case treatment by specialty and by regional health authority, district health authority and trust is given in "Hospital Waiting List Statistics: England", which is published twice yearly. The latest figures are for September 1993 and copies are available in the Library.

Information on waiting times to first out-patient appointment is not yet collected centrally.
