§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonAvailable records suggest that a total of five individuals are in the community on licence who were reprieved from a capital conviction before the abolition of the death penalty in 1965. Two of these people were recalled to custody, but subsequently re-released.
Two further persons reprieved from a capital conviction were recalled to custody and have not subsequently been re-released.
