To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many children have been killed and injured in school minibuses in the last year.

In 1992, the latest year for which data are available, it is estimated that 105 school children were slightly injured, and three children were seriously injured in minibuses in journeys to and from school. In addition 193 school children were slightly injured and 19 seriously injured in minibuses on journeys other than going to and from school. There were no child fatalities in minibuses in 1992.
